Move Me

I'm moving in just over a week. My feelings are mixed. Some of the best things in the world are mixed (re: pecans and chocolate, Laird Hamilton and water, baseball and mustard, rock and -a-billy), SO it's all good.

In honor of the latest move, A retrospective in music:

Tulsa, OK-- Dad was going to Spartan and Mom was making a lot of peanut butter sandwiches (Dad: We didn't have the money for jelly, honey).
St. Elmo's Fire Love Theme

Whidbey Island, WA--
Down Under, Men At Work

Lemoore, CA-- I hated leaving my friend Mandy and the neighborhood boys who would never let me join in the drama of daily CASTLE GRAYSKULL.
Take On Me, A-HA

Atsugi, Japan-- I hated this move. Japan was all fireworks, Madonna, Barbie, roller skates, and bullet trains for me.
Papa Don't Preach, Madonna
Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now, Starship

El Centro, CA-- By now, moving was something I expected. El Centro was bicycles, sand, onion fields, and slip-n-slides.
Cold Hearted Snake, Paula Abdul
Deeper Than The Holler, Randy Travis
If Tomorrow Never Comes, Garth Brooks

Burlington, WA-- Awkward. I'd expected to graduate high school here.
Dream Lover, Mariah Carey
Civil War, Guns n Roses
Come as You Are, Nirvana

Knob Noster, MO-- High school. I missed my grandparents, but was glad to "get out of Dodge."
Linger, Cranberries
Stomp, Kirk Franklin

Bolivar, MO--
White Flag, Dido
Walk Down this Mountain, Bebo Norman

Thailand--
Follow Me, Usher
Ace in the Hole, George Strait
Faith, Jason Upton

Bolivar, MO--
Mac the Knife, Bobby Derin

Fort Worth, TX--
Break Down Here, Julie Roberts
Breakaway, Kelly Clarkson
Don't Happen Twice, Kenny Chesney

Dacula, GAMy Love, Justin Timberlake
Hallelujah, Martin Sexton
Slow Down Baby, Christina Aguilera

Alpharetta, and Duluth, GA--

Here we go, again! Wooh!
